Lighting Test

Friday, March 27th, 2009

I think I may actually be close to shooting on my senior project! I spent this evening slaving away at lighting the set. Here’s a test screenshot:

Hopefully I’ll start shooting in the morning. Keep checking in for more!

Mediaeval Baebes Poster

Friday, March 27th, 2009

Yay! It’s done! I just finished my concert poster for computer illustration class, and it looks great! Here’s the finished piece, and the “illuminated” letter by itself.

Mediaeval Baebes Poster Rough

Thursday, March 12th, 2009

Our next assignment for Computer Illustration class is to design a poster for a band event. I chose to do one for the group Mediaeval Baebes. (and yes, it is a real group. Check out there website here: Mediaeval Baebes.) Anyway, this is the first assignment we’ve gotten  in this class that I’m actually really excited about. I’m going to go for the manuscript/illuminated text look for the poster. Here are some of my first rough comps:    (Click to view larger.)

Parliament of Owls

Sunday, March 8th, 2009

Another round of textured critters. I colored them a little differently this time, in that I colored them all together and put a background behind them. What can I say? The parliament demanded a nice tree branch and a sunset sky. : )

Grace

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

Grace, my main character for my senior project film, is finally finished! I think I remade each part of the puppet - shoes, torso, armature, clothes, eyes, hair, face - at least twice. So parts more than twice. It’s so frustrating, especially since I HATE redoing things. Here’s some photos of the finished puppet.
